Payroll Analyst-Bahrain

Essential functions of this position:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as project management lead on all payroll related business systems solutions. This includes planning, designing, developing, implementing, administering and monitoring the payroll and program processes, reports and operation systems. This position will evaluate program application systems’ functionality to identify gaps, measuring the impact to business operations. This position will design systems solutions by identifying and evaluating options: resolving solution issues; serving as a liaison between the payroll and the project team to improve productivity; development and training. This position will also have some payroll functional duties verifying the work of others in Payroll and assisting the Payroll Manager with the accurate reconciliation and remittance of all state and federal tax payments and file submissions.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position:
•2-3 yrs payroll experience
•Knowledge of business applications and systems analysis and development
•Project management experience
•Knowledge of state and federal guidelines
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office
•Excellent organizational and time management skills
•Excellent customer service skills
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Ability to work independently with written or verbal instructions
Preferred education, professional skills and experience:
•5+ years of payroll experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field
•Thorough knowledge of all state and federal guidelines and related accounting principles.
•Experience in higher education or State agency payroll processes
or systems analysis
•Experience with Banner HR or similar ERP payroll application
