Corporate Accountant-Bahrain

***Seeking Corporate Accountant for growing Residential Real Estate Firm
This position requires a truly detailed-oriented person who can balance a multi-faceted workload. The Corporate Accountant (CA) reports directly to the Assistant Controller, CFO, and principals of the firm. The CA is responsible for tracking the management companies’ cash flow by generating invoices, processing receipts, processing payables and following up on outstanding items. The CA is also responsible for ensuring the accurate recording of intercompany transactions, and reconciling property accountants’ bank accounts. This position requires advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
-Core Duties and Responsibilities
-Duties include, but are not limited to:
•Create and manage recurring monthly A/R and A/P among multiple companies
•Post and process unique A/R and A/P among multiple companies
•Process checks received and post deposits for multiple companies
•Retrieve specific invoices online
•Verify approval on all invoices and check requests
•Enter and process approximately 100 invoices per month
•Enter and process expense reports
•Process checks for vendors and expense reimbursements
•Reconcile A/R and A/P to the G/L
•Accurately record a variety of journal entries to include property acquisitions and refinancing
•Update and maintain vendor databases for multiple companies
•Reconcile vendor statements
•Reconcile bank accounts in Quickbooks used by property accountants
•Prepare detailed accounting statements and reports as scheduled and needed
•Follow-up on rush items
•Special projects as assigned
•Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
•Processing accounts receivable and accounts payable
•Making journal entries and identifying normal account balances
•Reviewing and understanding financial statements
•Providing status and financial reports to supervisors and external parties
•A strong understanding of company/entity hierarchies
-Education: Four year degree in Accounting
-Computers & Software:
•Proficiency with QuickBooks required. Experience with Yardi or a similar property management/accounting software is a big plus
•Ability to use MS Word, Excel and Outlook to professionally and effectively communicate internally and externally.
